Quick Glossary

  • FAsset: Flare’s bridging system for non-smart contract assets like XRP, enabling them to be used in DeFi at scale.

  • FXRP: A 1:1 representation of XRP minted on Flare through the FAssets system. Secure, overcollateralized, and fully non-custodial.

  • stXRP: An ERC-20 liquid staking token minted by the Firelight Launch Vault (ERC-4626) when users deposit FXRP. It earns Firelight Points and is fully DeFi-ready; Economically Secured Services (ESS) fees and slashing will be introduced in the feature-complete phase.

  • Lot: A fixed mint/redeem unit. For FXRP, 1 lot = 10 FXRP.

  • Agent: The service that facilitates the FAssets minting process. Choose Bifrost Wallet while minting FXRP.

How to Connect Bifrost Wallet to FAssets Website

Visit the FAssets website on your desktop and connect via Bifrost Wallet or open it natively inside the Bifrost Wallet's in-app browser.

  1. Open your browser and navigate to https://fassets.au.cc

  2. Click 'Connect Wallet' on the top right.

  3. Select 'Wallet Connect' from the menu.

  4. Click 'Connect'.

  5. Click the 'Bifrost Wallet' icon and scan the QR code with Bifrost Wallet by following the next steps.

  6. On your phone, open Bifrost Wallet and tap the blue menu icon → Connect.

  7. Scan the QR code and tap 'Connect' to approve the session.

  8. Return to the browser and confirm it displays your wallet address.

How to Mint FXRP on Flare using Bifrost Wallet

  1. Click the 'Mint FAssets' button.

  2. Click 'Mint'.

  3. Enter how many lots you want to mint (1 Lot = 10 FXRP).

  4. Change the agent to Bifrost Wallet.

  5. Click 'Next'

  6. Review the summary, then confirm the first transaction in your wallet.

  7. Approve the second transaction.

  8. Wait for the transaction to finalize; the portal will update status.

How to Redeem FXRP on Flare using Bifrost Wallet

  1. Click the 'Redeem' button.

  2. Click 'Redeem' again to open the form.

  3. Enter the lot amount to redeem (1 lot = 10 FXRP).

  4. Click 'Next', then approve the transaction in Bifrost Wallet.

  5. Wait for your transaction to finalize; the portal will update status.

How It Works

  1. Mint FXRP: Lock XRP on XRPL. Flare Data Connector verifies, FXRP is minted 1:1 to your Bifrost Wallet on Flare.

  2. Use in DeFi: Trade, lend/borrow, provide liquidity, mint stables, or trade yields.

  3. Stake with Firelight: Deposit FXRP to mint stXRP, earn points (and fees in Phase 2). [TBA]

  5. Redeem: Unstake stXRP and redeem FXRP to go back to XRP.

FAQs

What’s the minimum or maximum I can mint?

Enter whole-number lots (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 10, 20). The UI enforces available ranges and will prevent unsupported values.

How are fees calculated?

You pay gas in FLR. Costs vary with network load and contract calls required by mint or redeem.

Why do I see two confirmations when minting?

Minting can involve more than one onchain step. Approve both prompts to complete the flow.

Is choosing Bifrost Wallet as the agent required?

This guide assumes Bifrost Wallet as the agent. You can optionally select other available agents on the FAssets portal.

Which browsers and devices are supported?

Modern desktop browsers (Chrome/Firefox/Edge/Safari) and Bifrost Wallet's in-app browser are recommended.

What if I connected to the wrong URL?

Disconnect immediately, close the tab, clear the browser history for that site, and reconnect only to https://fassets.au.cc. Never sign unknown prompts.

I don’t see FXRP in Bifrost after minting.

Refresh the wallet. If still hidden, add FXRP by following these steps:

  • Blue menu icon → Receive → Type 'custom' in the token search bar → Add custom token → Choose network → Copy paste FXRP contract address → Add token

  • FXRP Contract Address: 0xAd552A648C74D49E10027AB8a618A3ad4901c5bE

Important Notes

  • Onchain transaction times and gas fees can vary based on network load.

  • During periods of congestion, confirmations may take longer and fees may be higher.

  • Third-party connection services like WalletConnect may also experience interruptions or fail to initiate a session. If you’re connected but the wallet shows no transaction prompt, reset the connection:

    • Disconnect from the dApp via its profile menu.

    • In the wallet, go to Settings → WalletConnect → Terminate.

    • Reconnect and try again.

  • If the FXRP mint cap fills, FAssets won’t be available until the next mint cap increase.

  • Beware of impersonators and scammers. The Bifrost Wallet team will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys. Never share them with anyone.
