This guide is for users who:
Forgot their PIN code
Lost, damaged, or replaced their phone
Want to move their wallet from another app to Bifrost Wallet
You can also use this guide if you are moving from other wallets like MetaMask, Ledger, Trezor, Exodus, and others.
Before You Start
Make sure your phone or tablet is safe and up to date:
Update your device to the latest version of Android or iOS
Remove apps you do not need
Avoid using custom keyboards, clipboard apps, or screen recorders
Lock your device with a PIN, password, or biometrics (fingerprint/face)
Important: You are responsible for keeping your wallet and device safe.
Restore Your Wallet
Install and open Bifrost Wallet
Choose “I already have a wallet”
You will need your 12 or 24 words recovery seed phrase. This may be written on paper or stored in a secure device.
Enter your recovery phrase into the app:
Type one word at a time
Add a space between each word
Do not use numbers
When all words are correct, the "Restore" button will activate
Tap "Restore" to restore your wallet
Your wallet will now be restored on your device.
After Restoring
You will now be able to see and use your crypto assets that are supported by Bifrost Wallet.
If you do not see some of your assets:
Make sure the asset is supported by Bifrost Wallet
Check that your wallet address is the same as your old wallet
If your address is different or you had multiple addresses before:
Go to Settings → Advanced → Address Derivation
Change to the correct address
Important Safety Tips
Never share your recovery phrase with anyone
Never enter your recovery phrase on websites
Only use it inside the Bifrost Wallet app
Store your recovery phrase in a safe place
Your recovery phrase gives full access to your wallet.
