You can now mint and redeem FXRP directly in Bifrost Wallet. Both actions are available in the Swap section, in the same view you already use for other assets.
To mint FXRP, swap XRP for FXRP. To redeem, swap FXRP back to XRP. Simple as that. You no longer need to leave Bifrost Wallet, open the official FAssets website, connect your wallet, and complete the action there. Recent FAssets upgrades make it possible to complete both routes right within Bifrost Wallet.
Two terms are useful before you start:
Minting converts XRP into FXRP. You start with XRP and receive FXRP on Flare.
Redeeming converts FXRP back into XRP. You start with FXRP on Flare and receive XRP on XRPL.
In Bifrost Wallet, both actions are now performed as a swap.
Before you start
Before opening the Swap section, check the following:
Update Bifrost Wallet. Install the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. Older versions may not show the XRP to FXRP route.
Hold the asset you want to convert. You need XRP to mint FXRP and FXRP to redeem it.
Keep some FLR in your wallet. FXRP is a Flare network token, and transactions on Flare require FLR for network fees.
How to swap XRP ↔ FXRP in Bifrost Wallet
Minting converts XRP into FXRP. Follow the steps below to complete XRP ↔ FXRP swap.
Open Bifrost Wallet and tap the blue menu button at the bottom of the screen.
Tap Swap.
Select XRP from the first token list. This is the token you are sending.
Select FXRP from the second token list. This is the token you are receiving.
Enter the amount you want to mint.
Tap Preview Swap.
Review the swap details and tap Confirm.
Close the modal.
Wait for the transaction to complete.
Your FXRP balance appears in Bifrost Wallet once the transaction settles. You can then use FXRP across Flare DeFi.
How to swap FXRP ↔ XRP in Bifrost Wallet
Redeeming converts FXRP back into XRP. Follow the steps below to complete FXRP ↔ XRP swap.
Open Bifrost Wallet and tap the blue menu button at the bottom of the screen.
Tap Swap.
Select FXRP from the first token list. This is the token you are sending.
Select XRP from the second token list. This is the token you are receiving.
Enter the amount you want to redeem.
Tap Preview Swap.
Review the swap details and tap Confirm.
Close the modal.
Wait for the transaction to process.
Your XRP balance updates once the redeem transaction settles.
How long does minting or redeeming take?
The typical processing time is around three minutes, but the actual time can vary with network conditions and settlement activity. If a transaction is still pending after three minutes, no need to worry, it will settle. Do not submit a second transaction while the first one is pending.
Troubleshooting FXRP swaps
FXRP does not appear in the token list
Update Bifrost Wallet to the latest version, then reopen the Swap section. If FXRP still does not appear, confirm that you are using the current app version and that the XRP to FXRP route is available for your wallet.
The transaction or approval fails
Check that your wallet has enough FLR to cover network fees on Flare. If the balance is sufficient, try the action again after confirming that the first transaction is no longer pending.
Can I still use the FAssets website?
Yes. The in-app swap in Bifrost Wallet is a convenience route. You can still connect Bifrost Wallet to the official FAssets website and complete the action there.
